Some sequences had a very Carnivale feel to them. I certainly hope they can really pull it together this season. I mean, I actually LIKED Season 3, I don’t give a frak what anyone else thinks, but even a fanboy like me knows they can do better.

What would really be a kick in the pants to the show is if they could somehow talk Russel T. Davies into working on Heroes. 🙂

looks interesting..though I still say they should’ve just killed off Sylar once and for all last season..he’s been a great villian and Quinto is a great actor, but Sylar has run his course I think..time for a new villian(s) to take over..please let them kill Sylar off for good this season..besides the whole 2 people 1 body thing is too damn cheesy anyhow..and showed lack of guts to kill off a main character..lets get real this season!

Arkle, you want Davis to come on the show? Heroes is a classic example of having great set up with horrible climaxes. Davis, for me, has great set up, but can’t write a climax to save his life (See Last of the Timelords, Torchwood Children of Earth)

Whats to become of a show that Bryan Fuller could not even say? This trailer frustrates me. Can Kring not take a risk? Claire still wants to be normal, there’s still a creepy organization, Nathan is still alive, Sylar is still around, and now whats-her-face has turned into a crazy killer again..great.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Sylar, but there are no stakes. No one is ever in danger of dieing. How many times has Nathan died and come back? I think calling it a comic book show is a bit of a cop out because this is a tv show, not a comic book. Calling it a show just fun is also a cop out, because there is nothing fun about it, anymore No one dies so their are no stakes in what happens to the characters. But then again, who cares? Their is no character development, and the characters have been going through the same emotional arcs, doing the same things over and over again.

The most frustrating thing out of all of it is that I can’t stop watching. I’ve given three years of my life to this show. It’s almost become a burden of love to wacth this show week after week, waiting for it to get better. And it did get better…in volume four..but once they turned that volume into something else, the story fell apart.

Ahhh, and there’s the rub Emily. We are all frustrated with Heroes but none of us can stop watching each week. The same kind of thing is beginning to occur on True Blood. Unresolved issues with the characters going through the same dumb things…….but WE CAN’T STOP WATCHING THE MADNESS!” 😉

Emily: I disagree with you about Children of Earth. As for one of your latter points, how much of that is Kring, and how much of it is Executive Meddling? Let me put it this way; even George Lucas wears a Han Shot First shirt.

I am trying to stick with Heroes, it is getting to be like pizza. I am afraid that if something isn’t done right soon, I am just going to have to toss it out for the cats.

Arkle–Rather its meddling, or Kring, Sylar becoming Nathan was the dumbest thing that has ever happened

New Season of “Heroes” Brings Decent Writing and Character Development? Yeah, didn’t think so. I’ll probably still watch it though.
