Hick’s Picks 60

July 14, 2009 By Michael Hickerson 1 Comment

Actor LaVar Burton, who played Geordi LaForge on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital after he was involved in a traffic accident yesterday according to TMZ.  The site reports Burton and the passengers in the other car had minor injuries.

“Stargate: Atlantis” is coming to Blu Ray.  Well, at least a selection of fan-picked favorite episodes. The new set will hit shelves on August 4.  No word yet on which episodes fans will find in the set or if this is a test release to find out of the series will sell enough to warrant a Blu-Ray release.

Days after the heirs of Superman co-creator Jerome Siegel were rebuffed in a lawsuit against Warner Brothers, co-creator Joe Shuster is at the center of a film deal: The Gotham Group has optioned screen rights to the nonfiction “Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-Creator Joe Shuster” a book by Craig Yoe, Variety reported.
