NBC Previews “Day One”

NBC Previews “Day One”

July 8, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

Curious to know more about NBC’s mid-season series “Day One?”

The series, which takes place after a global catastrophe, will chronicle lives of residents of a southern California apartment complex. In the wake of a mysterious event that has shattered lines of communication and (literally) changed the shape of the world, the survivors must work together to both rebuild and save the Earth from a menace that might have already consumed countless other worlds.

Below is a video for the show that reveals some behind-the-scenes info about the new program from executive producer Jesse Alexander (“Heroes,” “Lost”).

For some reason the video isn’t playing for me. Don’t know if it’s because I’m outside of the US, or just because I’m at work. Anyway, don’t know if this is an actual leak, but the trailer for this show was apparently “leaked” here:

    Jericho lives? Son of Jericho?

This wont be Jericho = Jericho devolved into left wing conspiracy involving evil corporations and evil white men vaguely resembling Bush and Cheney. Turning Kansas into Iraq in Season 2 made it all too obvious and killed the show since most of the fans were conservative and abandoned the show in droves when Season 2 aired.

This seems like some kind of cataclysm from space – either natural or otherwordly. I hope there are no aliens in this. Weve had enough of that from the failures of Invasion, Threshold and Surface.

Jack Pot: So, in the 2nd season Jericho became more realistic? Well snap, now I need to go and add it to NetFlix. 🙂

So basically its “Jericho” meets “Odyssey five” minus the swearing every five seconds. While the premis sounds interesting the problem is that its on NBC and two things are likely to happen. The stories are going to be light weight and everyone will have super powers by the end of season one.
