Sackhoff Joins “24”

June 9, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 9 Comments

For months, actress Katee Sackhoff has been rumored to be joining the cast of several primetime dramas.  And after months of circling some of the biggest shows on TV, Sackoff has landed a part in the upcoming eighth season of “24.”

Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, a smart, competent, expert data analyst at CTU with a secret past who is involved with CTU agent Davis Cole, played by new cast member Freddie Prinze, Jr.

This marks the final major casting of a new regular for the hit series.

Sackhoff was close to committing to “24” a week ago, but with another lucrative offer from a cable network on the table, she took herself out of contention to mull her options.

She restarted her talks with 20th TV on Friday and was cast Monday on “24.”

Sackhoff starts filming Wednesday on the series starring Kiefer Sutherland. She joins fellow new cast members Prinze, Jennifer Westfeldt, Mykelti Williamson, John Boyd and Chris Diamantopoulos.

Nope, not even Katie will get me to watch 24 – Nice try, though. Very tempting.

    24 makes Heroes look realistic.

Sorry, Katee. You got me to watch Bionic Woman, but I draw the line at 24.

Finally quit 24, on hour 20 of the most recent season. It just went way over board. And I really don’t buy the idea of Katee Sackhoff as a data analyst…

Seriously…you guys will watch Heroes but not 24?!? Really?!?

24 is a far better show and at least they pretend like they have a clue about where the season will end when it starts…unlike Heroes.

So does this mean that Jack will now say “Frack!, where is the (insert terrorist weapon here)”? While the newest president will take the oath swearing, “So say we all.” 😀

How many more bad days is FOX planning to milk out of poor Jack?
At this point, we must begin to consider this show Scifi.
It must be a statistical impossibility for him to have survived this long.

Season 5 was the best. I hope next season will be as good, but I’m not sure they could pull it off. (They couldn’t for the last two seasons.)

I’m not hopeful I’ll make it thru the whole season, but I’ll give it a shot.
