Fan Made “Green Lantern” Trailer

May 26, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 9 Comments

A creative Green Lantern fan has taken the initiative to produce a trailer for the upcoming motion picture and has cast “Firefly” favorite Nathan Fillion in the role of Hal Jordan. The footage comes from a multitude of other sci-fi films (including a certain big summer blockbuster still in theaters) and other projects featuring Fillion.

It certainly has me convinced that Fillion would be a great choice for the role. (But I’m not a huge Green Lantern fans, so those of you who are, please let us know what you think in the comments)

You can check it out below:

    Wow. That was pretty cool.

I recognized scenes from the new Star Trek, Fantastic Four:Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Serenity.

As well as Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, Star Trek: Enterprise, and I think I saw something from Star Wars Episode 4.

I like this fake trailer. I wish it was a real movie because I would pay money to see this.

I’m amazed at how good this is for a fan-made movie trailer! I would totally go see this movie! Perhaps the “fan” should be the one to direct the actual film.

I definitely think Fillion would make a great Hal. I’ve been saying that for years. In fact, I believe there’s a website devoted to just that somewhere…

Nathan Fillion + Anything He Does = I’m Watching It. (The trailer was really well done also. I liked it.)

Oh wow, this is an awesome trailer. I am so impressed with the creator’s ability to cobble this together from footage from unrelated sources. It had me salivating; I would definitely see this movie. What’s that say about the source material, eh?

Finally, Fillion would make an excellent Hal Jordan. So casting directors, perk up your ears.

I hope DC has watched this and is knocking on Nathan’s door. He would be perfect for the part. Perhaps Joss could even direct.
