“Human Target” Gets Debut Date, Trailer

May 19, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

As we reported earlier, Fox announced its schedule for next year yesterday. One of the series given a green light for a mid-season run is the small-screen adaptation of the graphic novel, “Human Target.”

Starring Mark Valley, who featured in several episodes of “Fringe” this year, as a bodyguard who masquerades as his clients in order to draw out the bad guys. The series will get a prime debut after the NFL playoffs in January according to Fox and the first episode will feature a guest-star appearance by Tricia Helfer.

Based on the popular DC Comics graphic novel the series also stars Chi McBride (”Pushing Daisies”) and Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley (”Watchmen”).

This is the second time the Human Target has come to the small screen. In 1992 Rick Springfield stared as Christopher Chance aka the Human Target on ABC.

How, exactly, does Mark Valley masquerade as Tricia Helfer? I just can’t wrap my brain around that one

I thought it was the second attempt to bring it to television myself. But whats this on IMDB saying a 1974 date. Looks like it was released in Australia? Though we can never fully trust IMDB.
