Which Season Finale Was Your Favorite?

May 18, 2009 By News Droid 9 Comments

As May sweeps come to a close, a lot of our favorite series (both old and new) have aired their season finales.  This week’s poll is simple–pick your favorite season finale from the list provided below.

If you saw one that isn’t listed here, please tell us what it is in the comments field.

I think Lost, Fringe, and Supernatural had the best season finales from what I saw. But they all ended at the most innapropriate moment…..well at least from a fans point of view, because we have to wait at least 4 months to see the continuation of the cliff hangers.

Lost, followed closely by a three-way tie between TSCC, Supernatural and Chuck. All these shows ended their seasons with both a big cliffhanger and some huge game-changing revelations and events, while at the same time being an awesome episode (“Coolest Finale Moment” is a four-way tie between the Incident shootout, the prison break, *that* character getting killed and Jeffster).

And even though it’s not a genre show, props to Prison Break’s series finale which aired about a week ago. It toed the line between flat-out pandering to fans and wrapping up the story threads; the only hiccup was the Enterpriseian reveal that came during the otherwise sweet, hilariously ironic and fitting epilogue.

Boy, this was a tough poll because the season finale of so many of my favorite shows were really spot on this year. I voted for Lost, however, the finale for Fringe blew me away, as did Dollhouse and Chuck. The Big Bang Theory’s finale was great as well.

    Super hard poll this week.

I voted for “other” . . . specifically, Life. Not SciFi, but one of the better endings I’ve seen, and not just the ending, but the whole show.

If I were to pick a second, it would be Chuck, but mostly for the last 10min.

Terminator:SCC lost out because of its last 10 minutes.

I voted for Chuck because it was the most fun, but Dollhouse and Fringe were close on its heels for their respective “Holy crap!” factors. I’m two weeks behind on Lost, though, so that might be added to my list soon.

Got to vote again today from another computer and choose Chuck. But, again — this is a hard poll because nearly every show listed had a fantastic season finale.

Heroes is the only one of these I even watch, so it kind of wins by default.

Chuck, the most enjoyable. I also enjoyed the final for Castle.

Strong season enders for the most part. For cliff hanger i’d go with TSCC. But for closure I’d go with Life. Chuck gets a special nod for how densely packed it was, and how hot Elle looked in her wedding dress while in full lotus.
