Tor Lists Eleven “Trek” Episodes to See Before the Movie

April 1, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 14 Comments

To get ready for the next “Trek” movie, you may be looking to dust off your old VHS or DVD copies of the original series and sit back, relax and enjoy some time with the crew of the starship Enterprise.  But what if you’re a busy fan and don’t have time to watch all 79 episodes of the original series before May?

Add in that some of the storyline takes place in the “Next Generation” time line and you’ve got a huge chunk of episodes to re-watch before the movie opens.

The good people at Tor have come up with a list of ten episodes and one movie they call essential viewing before you head into see the next “Trek” film.  These might be a good refresher for fans or a good starting point for those who haven’t seen all of “Trek” and are looking for a good way to dip their toes into the vast “Trek” universe before the film hits theaters.

Surf over and take a look at A Star Trek Primer for a list of the episodes and the one film recommended. (Unfortunately, the film is not “Wrath of Khan…”)

Ah… that’s still the right time. The site time is on GMT, since we’ve got a patently international audience!

You would honestly not believe how good the timing is on this article, and I don’t mean it coming out this far ahead of the movie or anything.

I disagree 100% with the writers views on Nemesis. Of all the Next Gen films, Nemesis was by far the best. (Not counting the first fifteen minutes of First Contact, the rest was crap)
