Wow, slow week in the news room and the lamest poll ever! I hate to sound like a hater, but… sniff. Poor effort.

Stupid? Maybe. But, did you respond? Ahhhh, now that’s the rub. 😉

    Oh….and, yes…a very slow news weekend. 🙂

What, are you on crack? Mal is now and ever shall be Nathan Fillion. (Even when he’s a picture in a comic book.)

Fillion appears to be the “kiss of death” for TV shows, so you could almost choose anyone. Why not David Arquette?

I’d love to see Bogart, or better yet, the Duke, while both in their prime doing this role. This was the kind of part Wayne would have loved to embellish.

All those picking “Nathan Fillion – He must always be Mal!” have no imagination what-so-ever! As Sam suggests Bogart or Duke would be fun to see in that role.

In the future we may even synthesize and customize our favorite movies and explore the nuances of how it might have been played from a mix of the greatest actors of all time!

  10. Lejon from Chandler says

I’m falling in the opinion that the actor who defined the role should continue in it, thus I selected Nathan Fillion; At the same time, It’d be interesting to see how James Stewart would have filled in the part.

I think this poll would’ve been more interesting if it was asking ‘other than Nathan Fillion’.

I went for Harrison Ford because he immediately jumped to mind. It’s an obvious choice perhaps though.

I find myself in total agreement with Lejon. I think of all the actors on the list other than Nathan Fillion, Jimmy Stewart could do all the sides we’ve seen of Mal.

Let’s all get together and remake the series ourselves! We can use my camera and my friend’s backyard 😀 We’ll need a carpenter for the set, though… any volunteers?

    ~Jared

Fillion as a Kiss of Death for an episode??? “Castle” is doing fantastic with the critics and Nathan is proving to be a very superb actor in the series… In fact _carrying_ the series very nicely.

Not arguing just pointing out the current facts.
