Will surely melt even the iciest of hearts

Russo Rating: 8/10

Between Bolt and Meet the Robinsons, I think it is suffice to say that the 3-D leg of Diseny’s animation studio is finally starting to pull its weight. Of course it helps that Pixar veteran John Lassetter produced, but this television show within a movie is just so gosh darn original, it will surely melt even the iciest of hearts.

Bolt, a dog with incredible super powers, would be devastated to find out that his laser eyes and championed sonic boom bark were all smoke and mirrors. However, when producers decide to pull his beloved human, Penny, away at the end of an episode, hoping to up the ante for ratings, Bolt takes off into the real world to rescue the young girl. Problem is Bolt isn’t quite accustomed to the life of a stray animal…..

Disney has done an outstanding job on the BluRay release of Bolt. The marketing genius has again packaged in an additional DVD and Digital Copy download with each BluRay, making it an awesome package for current DVD owners sitting on the fence about high definition. AND Disney has decided to give the technology a head start, releasing the film Sunday, March 22nd in high definition, and on Tuesday March 24th on DVD. How’s that for faith in BluRay?

Picked up my copy yesterday. I don’t care what they said about this movie on the podcast, I think it’s a cute little movie, and it will be in one of my kids basket this Easter.
