Actress Emily Blunt was the original choice for the role of the Black Widow in the upcoming “Iron Man 2.” The actress was forced to drop out of the role last month due to a scheduling conflict. Blunt talked about the situation and her decision recently with MTV News.
“It was one of [the] things that was conflicting,” Blunt told MTV News about having to drop out of the superhero sequel because of a scheduling conflict with “Gulliver’s Travels”. “So it’s a shame the two of them couldn’t work together. It just got complicated, so I think I had to pull out for my own sanity more than anything.”
Blunt was asked about what fans could expect from the upcoming film, but the actress was mum on details.
“See, that’s the other thing, I can’t give anything away on that front,” Blunt said. “I’m not going to say! I’m not going to say! I’m going to get someone in trouble. Look at me, I’m such a goody-two-shoes!”
“Iron Man 2” opens in May 2010.
