With the news that Kenneth Branaugh will direct the big-screen adaptation of “Thor,” now comes the the daunting task for casting the Norse God.
And while there hasn’t been anyone cast yet in the role of Thor, an interesting rumor has cropped up on several on-line sources about who the female lead for the upcoming film could be.

According to Hollywood Deadline, actress Natalie Portman is the leading candidate for the female lead in Thor. No word yet on which of several central “Thor” female characters Portman would play for the upcoming release.
