Ledger Wins Oscar

Heath Ledger has one the Oscar for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor for his role of The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s box office bonanza “The Dark Knight.” Ledger’s family accepted the statue for the late actor.

Along with “Slumdog Millonaire,” which ran away with most of the Oscars, the other top Acadamy Award Winners on Sunday night were:
