    # A naive, misguided political pawn.
    # A physically and mentally tormented soul.

He was an idealist that put his faith in others, Adama and Baltar, that when they failed him, rigging the election and becoming a Cyclon pawn, got more and more lost. Until he tried to take control with Zarrik (Sp?). Zarril was a realist that knew what needed to be done to get results while Gaeta wanted to do what was right even if it meant his failure.

I went with “tormented”, but that agony led to him becoming both a “pawn” and a “bully”.

I’m still mad about how poorly he treated Hoshi, even if their relationship was a retcon.

Gaeta was framed. Down with Roslin / Adama!!!

    I vote for… A slimy little so-and-so that I’ve never trusted further than I could throw him…

I think losing his leg and watching Dee kill herself dropped him over the edge. Personally, I think it was a suicide – Death by lost cause?

  7. Adam says

He was a small minded man who wished to be as strong as the people he looked up to. When he couldn’t do that he proceeded to tear down his role models in order to keep himself from looking like the envious broken man he had become. Some people thrive when presented with adverse situations. Others crack. Guess which one he was…….

A combination of naive, misguided and a tortured soul.

Self-centered, egotistical, jerk….. I think sums him up.

I think he was an unsung hero, misguided but after seeing the ending?(spoilers!) if he had survived, humanity would have been in the present instead of the past. Stupid stabucks god-all-mighty reset button wouldve never had to occur and unlike Zarek, I think Gaeta may have still been able to come to terms with the cylons vs the death of his people as he would not allow his own ideals to bring the battlestar to open fire on the their own fleet. -stupid Zarek!
