Starting today and running until Saturday, February 21, we have three (3) DVD copies and two (2) Blu-Ray copies of the second “X-Files” movie, “I Want to Believe.” Both editions include two version of the movie–the theatrical version and a special extended cut of the film.
Set after the series ended, Mulder is approached by an FBI agent to look into a case involving a priest who claims to have pyschic visions. Teaming back up with Scully, the two begin a search for the truth in the case, racing against time to free a kidnapped FBI agent. Directed by series creator Chris Carter, who co-wrote the movie with Frank Spotnitz, this second installment is a stand-alone, monster-of-the-week type story that will please new fans and has little rewards for long-time fans of the series. If you’re an X-Phile, you definitely want a copy of this to spot all the Easter Eggs Carter has thrown in and for the wealth of extras on the discs.
