Another day, another Hollywood star rumored to be in the next Batman movie.
This time, the casting rumor is that Warner Brothers is considering Oscar-nominated actress Rachel Weisz for the role of Catwoman in the next Batman installment, according to io9.com.  Weisz joins a long list of actresses rumored to be in the running for a role in the next Batman film, including Angelina Jolie. Other stories include the casting of Johnny Depp as Riddler.
Weisz has experience acting in big-budget, action movies. She appeared in the first two installments of the Mummy franchise.
Warner Brothers has made no official confirmation of this news.  And, of course, we have to remind you that director Christopher Nolan has said on several occasions that he is not hurrying the next installment in the Batman franchise. For now, this is just a rumor…

I would have figured Kate Beckinsale would’ve been rumored to be in the running for Catwoman after her performances in tight leather outfits in the Underworld pictures as our favorite Undead heroine but Rachel would work just as well.
