Clock Radio Offers Streaming Music

Clock Radio Offers Streaming Music

December 15, 2008 By Mike Hickerson 2 Comments

Best-known for the iPod dock radios, iLove is introducing a new dual-alarm clock-radio that streams Internet radio stations and podcasts, according to USA Today.

The iNT170  bedside companion offers more than 15,000 online radio stations and podcasts from around the world –- which you can listen to subscription-free -– and is searchable by country, genre or decade.

iLuv says its built-in speakers offer incredibly clear and well-balanced audio, featuring jAura Soundcell technology, which is found in its iLuv iMM173 iPod clock dock. The iNT170 also includes a headphone jack for private listening.

Use the dial and large LCD to search for a desired station –- be it Bollywood hits from India, hard rock classics from Australia or BBC news from the UK -– and lock in your favorites as one of 20 presets (and another 20 presets for FM radio).

Clock features include dual alarm settings, auto-time update through the Internet and the option to wake up to Internet radio, FM radio or buzzer. The radio also has a sleep setting to automatically power down at a predetermined time.

One of these new radios will set you back $125 on Amazon.

If now people can listen to maore than 15 000 radio stations from their clock, than I wonder what will they be able to do after 50 years from now, and how the futire will look after 50 or even 25 years.
