On Slice of SciFi #190, we brought you news about ABC giving the go-head for a pilot based on Robert J. Sawyer’s “Flash Forward.”  We also told you about casting news for the potential series that is being groomed as a companion piece to “Lost.”
Today, the Hollywood Reporter reports more casting news for the series.  Sonya Walger has been cast as the female lead in the pilot and has also signed on board. Walger is no stranger to genre shows with recurring roles on “Lost” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.”
Based on Robert J. Sawyer’s sci-fi novel, “Flash” chronicles the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world passes out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and has a vision of the future. It centers on newly sober Mark Banford (Joseph Fiennes), an FBI agent who is patching up his life and marriage. Walger will play Mark’s wife, Olivia, who is disturbed by her vision of being in love with another man.
Woods will play Janis, a computer-savvy FBI agent who helps to uncover a pivotal clue in the mystery.
