My friends have a baby boy who recently underwent surgery for a rare heart defect(http://babymichal.blogspot.com/). He is just a few months older than my daughter. Watching our babies grow has been a great thing. It has also been heartbreaking, terrifying and hopeful as I see them struggle. I count my blessings and wonder how they can endure so much.
“He is now home after many weeks. This is great news. But I know Michal’s family will feel a financial strain and people tend to forget about helping after getting past the stress of merely surviving.
“So if you can afford it, please donate. Any amount will be accepted, no matter how small. The funds will be donated anonymously. So if you know Tim and Antje, please don’t spill the beans.
“I think it would be amazing to see an army of daleks marching ‘round the world while helping out this family,” said the creator.
