Bill & Ted’s Excellent Ancient High Adventure

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Ancient High Adventure

December 3, 2008 By S. K. Sloan 3 Comments

Bill & Ted would freak over the latest scientific discovery. A load of ancient stash, the oldest baggie of marijuana found to date, has been unearthed in western China, according to an article in the Journal of Experimental Botany.

A well known tribe of non-Asian folk known as the Yeszhi, lived in the region nearly 3,000 years ago. This ancient Caucasian civilization lived in the Far East but were round-eyed and fair-haired, and like their modern-day 1960’s counterparts weren’t adverse to dabbling in a little ganja.

Scientists dug up almost 800 grams of some pretty hefty marijuana from the grave of one of the tribe’s shamans that the kind folks buried with him to ease his journey to the “other side.”

This isn’t your typical stepped-on grass, but was a satchel filled of high grade, top-shelf head-tripper which, if the same stuff was available today would run about $8,000 — so much for the nickel bag.

“It was common practice in burials to provide materials needed for the afterlife,” stated author Ethan B. Russo, a practicing neurologist and prominent medicinal-marijuana advocate based in Missoula, Mont. “No hemp or seeds were provided for fabric or food. Rather, cannabis as medicine or for visionary purposes was supplied.”

It would be very helpful if you could include a link or at least information on your news source.

Bill and Ted were not potheads.
I think you were thinking of Cheech and Chong.
