To tie-in with the upcoming “Thor,” feature film, Marvel Animation is preparing an animated version of the Norse God according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Marvel Animation is developing and producing 26 half-hour animated segments featuring Thor. The series would debut in 2010. The movie version about Thor is also set to debut in 2010.
The animated series will follow Thor, the Norse god of thunder, as he defends his mythical home of Asgard against fantastical villains, fiendish hordes, winged creatures and angry giants. The show will take place in various worlds — from mountainous landscapes to places of icy mists and fiery voids — and will include many of the comic’s supporting cast, including Balder the Brave, the Warriors Three and Thor’s evil adopted brother, Loki.
A Thor series follows Marvel’s plans to have animated series for each of their upcoming movie projects in development and ready to air when the films come out. The company is already working on an animated Avengers series to tie into the upcoming Avengers film.

in concept I’m always excited to hear about an old fav comic of mine being animated but whenever I see the final result I die a little bit inside. Of course, this only pertains to cartoons made post-80’s
