Cheadle replaces Howard for “Iron Man 2”

Cheadle replaces Howard for “Iron Man 2”

October 14, 2008 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

In one pivotal scene from this summer’s blockbuster comic-book hit, “Iron Man,” Jim “Rhodie” Rhodes, played by Terrance Howard,  looks at a previous generation Iron Man armor and promises himself, “Next time.”

Looks like someone else besides Howard will get to make good on that promise.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, actor Don Cheadle will replace Howard as Rhodes in the upcoming “Iron Man 2.”

“Iron Man 2” is scheduled to open in the summer of 2010.

Be sure to tune in to this weekend’s Slice of SciFi show for more information on this breaking story.

If TH wasn’t going to be available, then Ok.. Otherwise I don’t see what the point is for this change.

What? I LOVED TH in this role and was excited for him to get to play War Machine. From what I read originally, it was the whole reason TH took the role to begin with.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Don Cheadle as an actor, but I don’t know if he can have as much fun Howard looked to be having in the role.

    Sad.
