Josh Brolin (“No Country for Old Men,” “Grindhouse: Planet of Terror”), the actor who can next be seen portraying President George W. Bush for the Oliver Stone film “W,” is currently in talks to star as the lead in the live-action comic-to-film adaptation “Jonah Hex” for Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Both sides of the negotiations are confident Brolin will take the role.
“Jonah Hex” is the story of a facially disfigured man who is a gunslinging bounty hunter always on the trail of the bad guys but finds himself always balancing on that thin, fine line between right and wrong.
The script will be co-written by writer-directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (“Crank”), who will also serve as the film’s co-directors.
