Director Stephen Zimmer on Slice of SciFi Show #175

August 21, 2008 By Sam Sloan Leave a Comment

Our guest for the next Slice of SciFi show ready for download on August 23rd is film director-screenwriter-producer Stephen Zimmer.

Stephen is one of this generation’s new young up and coming directors and is the driving force behind the new indie horror film titled “Shadows Light” which debuted on DVD August 5th. We did a review of the DVD here on Slice of SciFi, and begin a DVD giveaway contest the first day this show airs. Before “Shadows” Stephen gained attention in Hollywood circles for his short film “The Sirens.” Our studio cast of characters will talk with Stephen about “Shadows” and his upcoming projects.

Of course the show will also be full of news and infotainment with stories about Bigfoot, Cosmic Ghosts, and a real robotic-soldier experiment gone bad. Movie Talk revolves around the “Watchmen” and “Babylon A.D., while TV Talk will focus on the “Mythbusters” next, and probably most controversial mission, plus ABC’s stab at a series based on the John Updike novel “The Witches of Eastwick.”

The Slice of SciFi crystal ball just came back from the polisher and is ready to tell us all about “Voltron: Defender of the Universe” and a new pairing of Tom Cruise and Sam Raimi for an upcoming sci-fi graphic novel being turned into a major motion picture.

Joins us this Saturday, August 23, 2008 from iTunes, the online feed or your favorite podcatcher for Stephen Zimmer, loads of news, special features and more. Our Sirius XM Radio listeners can hear the show on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day in the U.S.).
