22nd Annual Fantasy Filmfest

The 22nd Annual Fantasy Filmfest is set to begin on Tuesday, August 12 beginning its tour in Berlin, Germany. The Fantasy Filmfest is the largest, most successful German horror/fantasy film event.

Some of the films being showcased at this years event are “Eden Lake,” the Australian horror drama “Acolytes,” a Jean-Claude Van Damme starrer titled “JCVD,” the sci-fi comedy “The Substitute,” which follows the adventures of an extraterrestrial posing as a sixth grade school teacher and the railroad thriller “Transsiberian,” starring Woody Harrelson.

Keifer Sutherland’s film “Mirrors,” which debuted this month in theaters across the United States will also make the fest.

Lots of blood and gore will be represented with the French horror film “Ladyblood,” a story about a policewoman forced to confront demons from her past, and director Edward Anderson’s U.S. gore-fest “Shuttle.”

Gemany will enter the vampire movie titled “Let the Right One In,” while South Korea is represented with their entry called “The Chaser.”
