With the fourth “Doom” game currently in development, software developer id would like a second chance to take the popular game franchise to the big-screen.
“Personally I’d like to do another “Doom” movie, I thought working with it was a blast,” id CEO Todd Hollenshead said. “There are some lessons we learned. The best way to do things better is to get the experience.”
“We’ll see what happens when we get further along in development of [Doom 4] and there’s more buzz and we share more about what the game will be about,” Hollenshead added.
The first “Doom” movie took some creative liberties with the backstory to the popular game franchise, irritated fans. The movie was also lambasted by critics.Â
The CEO further noted that the decision would fall to “Doom” distributor Universal, which owns the rights to the movie and any possible sequels. “As the buzz meter starts to go up that may kind of kick start the guys over at Universal.”

Of course there should be another Doom movie because the first one was SOoooo good. Not I’m sure the money Id would get from another movie deal has nothing to do with their desires.
Frankly, Doom 3 was nothing special either.

Unfortunately WATCHING the movie was not a blast!! A key lessons learnt should be…don’t repeat the mistake by making another movie.

If a sequel is made for Doom, it should be fixed a little so it’s more like the game( but not to much ). The sequel should start off right where the first one ended. Reaper and his sister return to the surface and find the planet in complete chaos. He teams up with a few ex-mercinaries and fights his way to Los Angles to contact the plutonium and TNT projects on the moons of Jupiter, where most of the survivors of Earth went, thus leaving an intro for the third movie
