Writer/director Andrew Stanton, who is reportedly working with Disney/Pixar to develop a film based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ “John Carter of Mars,” denied to SCI FI Wire that a decision has been made on whether to shoot the movie as an animated feature, a live-action film or a mix.


Fans got an early preview on Sunday (June 22) of the upcoming film “X-Files: I Want To Believe.” The movie was screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival, in the Majestic Crest Theatre. Overall response? It was well received by fans and newbies alike.


The number of personal computers in use around the world has surpassed 1 billion, with strong growth in emerging markets set to double the number of PCs by early 2014, research firm Gartner said on Monday.

Friends, relatives and show-business colleagues gathered Sunday to remember Oscar-winning special-effects maestro Stan Winston, the man responsible for bringing the dinosaurs of “Jurassic Park” and other iconic movie creatures to life. As we reported earlier, Winston died at his home in Malibu on June 15 after a seven-year struggle with multiple myeloma. He was only 62.


Now that the production for “Star Trek of Gods and Men” has called it a wrap and the final episode is ready, the stars of the online feature talk about what it was like to don those Starfleet uniforms one more time after years of working in the Trek universe.     I don’t to see a John Carter movie as a animated movie. I want a live action movie with big green monsters with 8 arms and beautiful girls with huge b…s. I want a pulp movie not a children movie.
