Slice of SciFi Season One of “The Invaders” DVD Contest

May 24, 2008 By News Droid 39 Comments

Beginning today, May 24 and running until midnight Pacific Time, Saturday, June 28, 2008 we are offering up the opportunity for two lucky fans to win the entire first season of the sci-fi classic television series The Invaders, starring Roy Thinnes.

Roy starred as architect David Vincent, the only human on Earth that seems to know that the invaders, alien beings from a dying planet, have arrived to take over the Earth! To make matters worse, the aliens know who he is, and most of the time where he is. Somehow he must convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun.

The First Season of “The Invaders” becomes available in stores on May 27th, but you could win a free copy right here from Slice of SciFi.

The DVD prize pack includes an extended 60-minute version of the pilot episode, new interviews and episode introductions by Roy Thinnes, commentary from series creator Larry Cohen and much more.

To become eligible for this great prize send an email and put “The Invaders” in the subject line.

This contest is open to all our fans throughout the world… so, good luck to you all.

As with all our contests: Any entries received without name and shipping address will be automatically discarded.

Remember–only 1 entry per person per day.

    Ah guys,
This isn’t a movie. I believe this is the 60’s tv series season one. Came out the same time as time tunnel, the fugitive, ect. Was really a excellent tv show. And I highly recommend it to any fan. I am old enough to have seen it when it first aired.
    Good luck to all.

    Tim

Seems like some younglings here aren’t aware of this TV series from the…what…mid-60s?
I watched this show every week, enthralled.
Does anyone remember that David Thinnes had a part in an episode (or 2) of X-Files?
I have to go and see if he was playing the same character. I don’t remember.
Anyway, when he popped up I yelled: “Ohmygod! It’s ‘David Vincent’!” LOL
I’d definitely love to win this.
Good luck to all you fellow entrants!

I remember watching this on a black and white TV in the 60’s. I just viewed the first episode from the BT express and while it was encoded from VHS, it still looked damn good. I hope I win the DVD set. My wife is getting sick of my Stargate DVDs and threatened to use a Zat gun on me.

I had the model of the saucer from the show as kid, purchased at the Universal Studios gift shop. The top came off and showed the interior compartments and figures. Retractable landing gear too. Man if I still had that model I’d be a happy geek right now.
