Just as hubby Ben Affleck takes on more responsibilities behind the camera as a promising director, Jennifer Garner is stepping up to the plate as an up and coming prominent producer.
The actress has teamed with business partner Juliana Janes and the pair have created Vandalia Films, which has been given a first-look deal with Warner Bros.
“To start with, we’ll develop material as potential starring vehicles for me,” stated Garner at a news conference. “I’d have to be pretty passionate about something to commit to the project if I wasn’t intending to be in it.”
The two have a whole slate of new production projects in the works, the most important to genre fans being a film titled “Be With You.” It will be a remake of the Japanese supernatural movie of the same name about a woman who dies then is give a second chance at life to learn what the ultimate purpose of that life is. Allan Loeb (“New Amsterdam,” “21”) has script duty.
Garner the actress is currently working with Matthew McConaughey for New Line Cinema in the speculative fiction comedy “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.”
