“Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who” has finally been unseated from its first place position in U.S. box office by “21,” a fact-based film about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.
Coming in third will likely be the new superhero parody flick appropriately titled “Superhero Movie.” This one comes from the same team of creators behind “The Naked Gun” and “Scary Movie” franchises, so you can already guess which direction the film takes.
Rounding out the top five will probably be “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” and Owen Wilson’s return to films with “Drillbit Taylor.” Looks like comedy is mostly being served from the main menu for the next week.
We’ll have the full Top Ten for you later.
