While Swayze, received the sad news over a month ago it is just now making the press circuit.

The actor actually began in show business as an accomplished dancer, a talent he was able to showcase in his most successful film “Dirty Dancing.” He is also a pretty fair singer with hits like “Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner” and “She’s Like the Wind.”

Raised by his mother in Houston, Texas, dancing is part of his DNA as his mother, also an accomplished dancer and professional choreographer got him to hoofing at a very early age.

Some of Swayze’s more familiar roles have been in films like “Donnie Darko,” “Point Break,” “Road House,” and the award winning television miniseries “North and South.”
