Reeves — Invisible Woman & Cloverfield 2

January 31, 2008 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

200801reeves2.jpgDirector Matt Reeves, the man behind “Cloverfield,” is set to bring a new film to the front with a title that could lead one to think that an old classic with the opposite gender is being considered, but, even though the title looks familiar, the premise is a completely different one.

Reeves is currently working on a deal with indie movie production company GrenneStreet Films to helm “The Invisible Woman.”

However, his deal with GrenneStreet Films will have to wait a bit because Paramount is already negotiating with him to do a “Cloverfield” sequel, and their contract with the director gives them the highest priority.

Sources are saying that the script from Reeves sees “The Invisible Woman” to be more like a Hitchcock-style thriller that probes the mind of a former beauty queen who turns to a life of crime to protect her family. Reeves who is looking to his Bad Robot friend and “Cloverfield” comparade J.J. Abrams to produce along with John Penotti, Fisher Stevens and Tim Williams.
