Kevin Falls on This Week’s Slice of SciFi Show

January 23, 2008 By Sam Sloan 5 Comments

75453340.jpgKevin Falls will join us for this week’s Slice of SciFi Show #145 on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

Kevin is the executive producer and writer of “Journeyman,” the NBC SF drama that was recently left dangling my NBC. He has an impressive resume as a consultant on the James Woods drama “Shark” and co-executive producer for the highly successful, Emmy winning “The West Wing.”

Kevin will talk about “Journeyman” and the international fan effort to see that very imaginative show brought back for a full pickup on NBC Universal’s schedule.

In The News HBO introduces a new Broadband download service for a certain segment of its subscribers, and you should be glad you weren’t walking the planet 4 million years ago — how about putting out cheese for a 2000 pound rat!

This show introduces a new segment we call “The International Entertainment News Desk.” From time to time we’ll feature important entertainment news found exclusively outside the boundaries of U.S. and Canadian borders. The new segment will begin with news coming out of the tiny Middle East country of Israel.

In Movie Talk we have an update about the Superman sequel called “Superman: Man of Steel.”

TV Talk is all about the return of “Jericho” on CBS for its truncated second season of 7 episodes. But, there could be good news on the horizon so listen to the show and find out more. Part way through the news about “Jericho” we will be giving out some spoilers, but for those who hate knowing that kind of stuff ahead of time, plenty of warning will be given in advance.

Future Talk is looking good for the possible resurgence of the classic movie monsters of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Benicio Del Toro will bring “The Wolf Man” back to life with the help of FX genius Rick Baker and co-stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt.

There will be plenty of good stuff on the show and our special guest Kevin Falls, so be sure to listen to Slice of SciFi Show #145 on Saturday, January 26 on the Web or XM-Satellite Radio’s The Sonic Channel beginning Monday, January 28. See you then!

Hi, great news that Kevin Falls will be doing this podcast. We love Journeyman and can’t believe the show was left dangling by NBC. What were they thinking??? Hopefully with more attention focused on the show by podcasts and fan support, it will be picked up again for a full season (and more).
