First, “The Dukes of Hazzard” came back to the big screen, recently it was announced that a new version of “Knight Rider” was coming back to television with a big 2-hr pilot movie, and now director John Singleton is gearing up to helm a bigscreen version of the 1980s TV series “The A-Team.”
Singelton, famous for directing such films as “Boyz n the Hood,” the Samuel L. Jackson remake of “Shaft” and most recently, “Four Brothers,” is very serious about this project and is scouring the Hollywood scene for his actors. Rumor has it that he is considering Ice Cube, who starred in Singleton’s debut, “Boyz N the Hood,” as B.A. Baracas, originally played by Mr. T in the NBC series, but Fox denied that possibility, according to Variety.
This updated version of the popular television show comes from a script by Jayson Rothwell (“Second in Command”). It will center on group of Iraq vets wanted by the U.S. military for a crime they didn’t commit. The 80’s version followed the same line except the protagonists were Vietnam Vets. Their adventures combine helping the innocent while running from the law. Story has been given a modern twist by involving oil tycoons and laser technology, said the trade paper.

I hear Gary Coleman isn’t doing anything right now. I figure if you’re going to make a flop, why not go all the way?
