CORRECTION: Alien Theme Park News

December 17, 2007 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

I just heard from Bryan Temmer with an update and a few corrections to our last story concerning the Alien Apex Resort theme park he is hoping to build in Roswell, New Mexico.

It appears from the way a story was reported that I misunderstood some of the information from another well known televised national news source. This is what we originally reported on our Slice of SciFi Show #139 —

  • We have an update about Bryan Temmer’s dream of creating an alien themed Resort Park in Roswell, New Mexico. He has the multi-millions of dollars needed, contractors, lots of acreage and all the required permits in hand. The park is ready for construction. Our past interview with Bryan, when he first made his dream known to an international audience, will be featured on next week’s end-of-year all interview show.
  • And we have this correction straight from our friend, Mr. Temmer himself:

    Hi Slice of Sci-Fi Team,

I hope all is well. I appreciate you posting some updates on the theme park, but I wanted to make sure you had the correct information.

I just wanted to make certain there was no confusion about my recent links I sent a few weeks ago.

    1. I don’t have the millions of dollars needed yet. The only money that was appropriated for the project to date was from the New Mexico State Legislature. $245,000 was appropriated for the planning and design of the park. That money will be paid to the company that won the bid for the RFP.

    2. The only contractor would be the company that won the bid for the RFP. Nothing else yet.

    3. No purchased land yet. Just some sites the city thinks might work.

    4. No required permits in hand yet.

    Best Regards,

    Bryan

We’d like to thank Bryan for the immediate and accurate update.
