Star Trek: Unity Launches Premiere Episode “Disunity”

December 14, 2007 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

The fan-produced series “Star Trek: Unity” will be releasing their premiere episode “Disunity” this Saturday, December 15th at 8PM EST

disunityepwebpage.jpgAlthough the series is slated to be a fully animated series, “Disunity” represents the first in a series of so-called “audiosodes”, episodes that are in audio-only format but which are designed to give listeners the feel of what their animated series will be like. These audio-based episodes will be set in the time frame during the construction of the starship Unity and will focus on stories that provide the background on the new characters that were created for this series. While the exact plot of “Disunity” has not been divulged, it has been stated by the Unity production team that the story will revolve around a contemporary issue facing our world today.

“Disunity” will also mark the return of Kurt Carley to the world of Star Trek. Carley, best known to Star Trek fans for his role as Captain Christopher Pike in the New Voyages episode “In Harm’s Way”, has also been seen in the “Underworld” feature film series and most recently M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film “Lady In The Water” as well as the internet sensation “Batman: Dead End”.

“Disunity” will be offered to the public in 4 different formats – as a single MP3 file, a set of 4 MP3 files (one for each act), a CD image (a custom CD label image will also be provided on their site), and as a set of RAR-format files meant for easy download by dial-up users.

For more information on this fan series and to download their first episode, visit their website at www.startrekunity.com.
