Feeling the G’s

November 27, 2007 By Sam Sloan 3 Comments

28200nicholascage.jpg“G-Force” is a new live-action/CGI film about a group of ultra-intelligent animal commandoes working for the government. Their standing orders are to track down and prevent an evil billionaire from taking over the planet.

Behind this film is the odd pairing of Jerry Bruckheimer and Walt Disney Pictures — so this movie should prove interesting.

On board for the project are Nicholas Cage, Steve Buscemi, Tracy Morgan, Bill Nighy, Will Arnett, Kelli Garner and more.

Bruckheimer and Disney have amassed a superb award-winning technical crew that includes Hoyt Yeatman (“The Abyss”) directing this combo CGI/live-action movie.

Nicolas will give voice to lead character Speckles, a mole, while Buscemi is Bucky the hamster, Morgan is Blaster, Nighy is the wealthy industrialist and Arnett will portray an FBI agent.

Look for “G-Force” to be in theaters on May 1, 2009.

“odd pairing of Jerry Bruckheimer and Walt Disney Pictures”
    ??

    National Treasure + sequel
    + Pirates of the Carribean + 2 mega-sequels
    = big buck$

If they’re pairing up again, what’s odd about it?

looking at Bruckheimer’s long history before his Disney connection…Jerry has toned down a bit…was the point.

If this works out, can a movie adaptation of Sundiver be far behind?
    Here’s hoping.
