In its continuing effort to capture a younger viewing audience Spain’s La Sexta network has scarfed up two new programs from Disney’s ABC International, according to Variety Europe. The network is headquartered in Madrid.
The CW dramedy “Reaper” and the ABC Family surprise hit series “Greek” will be getting primetime treatment on the terrestrial network’s programming schedule.
“Reaper” centers on a 21-year-old slacker and his compradres who learns that his parents have sold his soul to the devil. He is charged by the horned-one to be his own personal bounty hunter, searching out souls who have escaped from hell and forcing them back into the firey pit.
“Greek” is a coming of age college romp about a group of students navigating the world of fraternities and sororities in the neverending quest for finding the meaning of life, which consists mainly of frat parties, beer and yes, more beer.
“We are working to adapt our programming schedule to avoid the impact of the U.S. writers’ strike,” said Sergio Ramos, the head of network acquisitions.
