Geller/Angel Halloween Special

October 31, 2007 By Sam Sloan 5 Comments

phenomswag.JPGAs we reported in an earlier article, Uri Geller and Criss Angel are searching for the next mental phenomenon in NBC’s new show “Phenomenon,” which premiered last Wednesday on the Peacock Network.

Geller and Angel will be presenting a special two-hour trick or treat airing of the show for Halloween tonight, Wednesday, October 31st, beginning at 8PM EST. They have something very unique in store for viewers on this night of witches and goblins.

Also, can you bend objects without touching them? Move matter across a room with nothing more than intense thought? Well, if this kind of ditty is your thing — check out the Bend Your Mind game and test your own mental skills.

About PHENOMENON:

This program is showcased by NBC as an intriguing and mystifying meeting of the minds that takes place on live television when famed mentalist Uri Geller and world-renowned mystifier Criss Angel (“Criss Angel Mindfreak”) conduct an intensive search for the next great mentalist.

The live show is based on a successful Israeli version judged and monitored by Geller, which achieved a historical record-breaking viewing audience. The series showcases 10 carefully selected mentalists who will compete live against one another each week by demonstrating a wide spectrum of mystifying talents on a panel of celebrity guests who experience the spellbinding illusions along with the studio audience.

Together, Geller and Angel will assess the contestant’s talents each week and offer their unfiltered opinions. Ultimately, the fate of the winner is in the hands of the viewers at home, who will vote to determine which competing mentalist will receive the grand prize of $250,000 and become the next great mentalist.

“Phenomenon” is executive- produced by Suzy Lamb (“Grease: You’re The One That I Want”), Michael Agbabian (“Last Comic Standing”) and Dwight Smith (“Last Comic Standing”). The series, based on a successful Israeli version judged and monitored by Geller, which achieved a historical record-breaking viewing audience, is a Granada America/Keshet Broadcasting/Kuperman Productions co-production in association with SevenOne International. SevenOne International controls the worldwide rights to the program.

Bah, I thought it said “Gellar/Angel Halloween Special” (not Geller), which sounded much more interesting 🙂

I am glad I am not the only person who viewed this article thinking it was about Buffy/Angel.
