“Slice of SciFi/The Film Crew” DVD Giveaway Contest

August 10, 2007 By News Droid 7 Comments

51yyhys0wyl_aa240_.jpgYour Slice of SciFi gang and The Film Crew have gotten together to give all of our fans a chance to get a free copy of their new DVD “Hollywood After Dark.” We have 3 of these very funny DVD’s to give away.

Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett are back together again, only now they are known as The Film Crew. They have reunited to unleash their warped sense of humor on the films of yesteryear, much in the vain of their great series Mystery Science Theater 3000, only without the robots, puppets and villains on board a space station.

The 3 DVD’s we are giving away in this contest is the 1968 drama about a young actress (Golden Girls’ Rue McClanahan) who attempts to make her Hollywood debut, But instead, falls into the seedy underworld of stripping, where she’s exploited by unsavory producers. Of course after The Film Crew are finished adding their own unique commentary style, the movie will turn out 100 times more enjoyable.

Good luck to everyone who enters.

Hey if you don’t win these go buy them anyway. I already did and it’s great. We had lots of fun watching and laughing along. Kinda miss the robots, but, hey! At least we’ve got something!

dont want to ruin it for you but any science fiction film with nicole kidman in it isnt going to be a credit to sci fi films in general. If anything its going to create less credibility to our flailing genre. nicole kidman did do one good film its called “bmx bandits”

Speaking of the MST guys, have you ever heard of Riff Trax (rifftrax.com)? It’s cool. It’s them doing their own commentaries for movies like Battlefield Earth and X-Men.
