Katee Recurring On Bionic Woman

July 18, 2007 By Sam Sloan 2 Comments

sackhoff_1.jpg Inside sources are saying that actress Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck on “Battlestar Galactica”) has signed a last-minute deal to continue her role as the original bad-girl Bionic babe named Sarah for the new “Bionic Woman” series due out this fall.

The new show will star British actress Michelle Ryan as this generation’s Jamie Sommers. Sackhoff, who has been a guest on Slice of SciFi, was originally intended to play a limited enagement for the series, but this new deal will allow her to remain with the show as a recurring character and a nemesis of equal footing for Jamie Sommers.

Sources say that her performance in the pilot episode is what sold it for NBC to try and get Sackhoff back for more than just a limited appearance.

Wrong—- the inside source actually comes from someone in the Reuters news service — get your facts right before accusing wrongfully. And, it’s not plagiarism to reveal news on a news site. It would have been plagiarism had we (or anyone else) taken credit for the story as if SoSF (or they) were the first who broke it. But, neither The Hollywood Reporter or SoSF were the first, it came over the news wire – which is where most news agencies get such stories after investigating if the source of the story is valid.

If you see “Written by: such and such a SoSF reporter or journalist,” then you can bet it is either an original story from Slice or that journalist’s own personal take on an already known fact. If you don’t see that, then Slice, just like every other news source, is relaying a story from some other source, such as an AP or Reuters wire. That source is either named directly, or listed as inside source, other source, etc..depending on the story being reported on, and which, by-the-way, is normal press practice.

Not sure what your beef is with Slice. So — watch it before making a claim that cannot be fully substantiated and would not stand up under real scrutiny.
