AnnaSophia Robb is set to star in the film adaptation of Lauren St. John’s classic children’s story “The White Giraffe.”
Robb, known for her roles in “Bridge to Terabithia” “The Reaping” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will play the young heroine of the story.
In “Giraffe” a young orphan girl is sent from England to live with her grandfather who works on a South African wildlife preserve. While there she learns of the native tale about the white giraffe, and as she treks out to find the fabled creature her life is set on an adventure that will change it forever.
Ann Peacock, famous for taking C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” and successfully adapting it for the big screen will try to perform the same magic with St. John’s work.
