The popular Hanna-Barbara cartoon, “The Jetsons” is headed to the big-screen. Director Robert Rodriguez (who directed the family-friendly “Spy Kids” franchise as well as “Sin City”) is rumored to be helming the project. The film would be produced by Warner Brothers and would be a live-action adaptation of the popular cartoon.

Liv Tyler will join the cast of the second “Hulk” movie as Betty Ross, the daughter of General Ross and the love interest for Bruce Banner. Tyler would take over the role in the film from Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Conolly.

The new Hulk/Bruce Banner will be played by Edward Norton.

Filming on the second “Hulk” movie begins later this year.

Director Bryan Singer has some big-names lined up for his next movie, “Valkryie.”

Singer, who already cast Tom Cruise in the upcoming film, is in talks with Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry and Patrick Wilson to join the cast.

“Valkryie” tells the story of a plot to assignate Hilter during the height of World War II.

Filming begins later this year.

Donkey may not be getting his own spin-off, but Puss is.

puss.jpgThe popular character Puss in Boots may be getting his own spin-off film from the “Shrek” franchise.

Introduced to audiences in “Shrek 2” and returning for “Shrek the Third,” Puss is voiced by Antonio Bandaras.

Bandaras told SciFi Wire that the spin-off is in the works, though specifics on it are still vague.

“Donkey doesn’t have a movie, but Puss in Boots does, and they are pushing for a movie someday soon,” Banderas said during interviews to promote the third installment in the hit franchise.

The movie could be a direct-to-DVD release and hit stores in 2010, about the same time “Shrek 4” opens in theaters.
