Mike Myers, creator of the “Austin Powers” franchise, recently told SciFi wire that he would like to do a fourth movie in the series, but that the next one would focus on the evil Dr. Evil.
“I have figured out that the story will be taken from the point of Doctor Evil,” Myers said in an interview while promoting “Shrek the Third.” “It will be powered from Doctor Evil’s point of view.” Myers added: “That will be the first of a trilogy. … I’m just joking! … I haven’t figured it all out. Who knows?”
Myers can be heard on the big-screen as the animated ogre, Shrek in the upcoming release of “Shrek the Third.” He is also currently working on a film called “The Love Guru.” “Guru” is about a Canadian, raised in India who comes back to help the Toronto Maples Leaves win the Stanley Cup.
“It takes three and a half to four years for me to do a movie, and it has to be something I’m feeling passionate about at the time, and so I may go into that after The Love Guru,” Myers said
