Director Neil Jordan (“The Crying Game,” “A Killing on Carnival Row”) is adapting, and plans to helm, the Joe Hill novel “Heart-Shaped Box” as a major motion picture.
Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute this spooker and Akiva Goldsman will produce.
This is Hill’s first novel as he follows the footsteps of his famous author father, Stephen King.
“Heart-Shaped Box” tells the story of an aging rock star with a penchant for the macabre. He purchases a suit online through eBay, not because he likes suits, but because this one purports to contain a ghost. What he soon learns however is this ghost is trying to kill him.
The novel is on book shelves now and has done quite well since its release in February of this year.
