For fans who have been waiting for the release of “Venus Rises” and have been wondering why the delay, we have good news — the script has gone through some major changes and overhauls but is now on the full production fast-track.

One cause for the delay was a recasting of one of the lead characters. As a result of this change a re-shoot of all of the footage involving him had to be completed. Also, the studio went through a major tech overhaul during filming so now post production, rendering, digi art, etc., can handle the requirements that this awesome production is trying to create.

With the latest advancements in CGI technology the production’s CG modelers have been going at it voraciously to bring the project’s settings, environments, and spacecrafts to life and it promises to be well worth the wait.

A second filming location was added and more sets built, as well as, adding more touches to existing sets that will give the series a definitive look and appeal as well as speeding up production.

The “Venus Rises” Website has been updated with more and more people checking it out and signing up to its forums for the latest news about the series or to just chat with the actors and fans of sci-fi in general.

Now to the news you have eagerly been waiting to hear. The first episode of “Venus Rises” has a tentative release of Summer 2007, (please watch their website as this may happen EARLIER).

You are invited to witness the production’s constant evolution from the smallest type independent series imaginable to what many are now saying is going to be one of the best independent productions/ series/ vidcasts to be shown on the internet.

Those in the company want to thank all of those who have expressed interest in “Venus Rises” since it began filming in only two rooms of a house with only a committed writer/ director (J.G. Birdsall) with a vision trying to do all of the work himself. It is now only fitting that one of the show’s taglines is TWO WORLDS… ONE SUN. The world of “Venus Rises” is growing and we hope you’ll join the process.

Feel free to visit the “VENUS RISES” Website for its forums, photo galleries, character pages, actor’s and artist’s bios and more You can also watch some Behind the Scenes footage on YouTube.
