Slice of SciFi has just learned that Steven Bochco, the creative genius behind such landmark television programs like “Hill Street Blues,” “NYPD Blue” and “L.A. Law” is co-writing a new SF supernatural project with pal Joel Fields.
The new television show is currently untitled and details of the storyline have yet to be revealed. What we can tell you is it will be on the FX Cable Network, which has showcased such gritty dramas as “The Shield,” “Thief” and “Rescue Me.” A network that allows that kind of freedom in creative expression is right up Steven’s alley, so this new program could prove interesting.
I’m cautiously optimistic. This is the guy who created NYPD Blue, but also tanked Commander in Chief. Either way, it will be a spectacular achievement, or a spectacular failure, or somewhere in between. That’s my prediction 🙂
