It Gets Black on “The Dresden Files”

February 22, 2007 By S. K. Sloan 7 Comments

The SCI FI Channel will be sharing its wealth of talent and lending them to some of their newer projects. For example, Claudia Black of Stargate SG-1 and Farscape fame has just finished filming a guest-starring role on the network’s new original series “The Dresden Files.”

In the episode, entitled “The Other Dick,” Claudia will play the role of Liz Fontaine, a boistrous, and pushy private eye with a her own shady past she’d like kept hidden. This is a perfiect role for Black, just think legal-eagle and talk-show host Erin Brockovich with an attitude and a gun.

Fontaine keeps Harry (Paul Blackthorne) on his toes with just the right amount of romantic sparks flying and competitive tension in the air. The two team up — sort of, to investigate the same murder case.

“The Other Dick” airs on “The Dresden Files” Sunday, March 25, 2007, 9/8C.

Claudia Black is absolutely terrible she totalled destroyed SG-1 when she is in it. Farscape well the less said the better. Now she is showing up in Dresden is nothing sacred.

I picked up the book series shortly after the release of Fool Moon (the second book). When I first heard about this series, I was very excited. Then they aired. I really didn’t like the first two. The third one was so-so. I thought the fourth one was better. Not as good as the books, but good enough to keep me coming back. Granted, it doesn’t hurt that, other than BSG, there isn’t anything else to watch on Sunday nights.

I hope that Claudia Black isn’t SciFi’s answer to everything. Next they’ll be telling me she’s one of the final five Cylons, too!

Black on Dresden? Oh gawd noooo!!!! I’m sick of her winey stupid acting. She can’t act, neither can Ben Browder. I’ll take zerohour’s comments a step further – they both RUINED SG-1. I refuse to add season 9+ of SG-1 to my DVD collection because of those two. Hopefully neither of them show up more permanently in either SG-Atlantis or anything else scifi.

I personally LOVE claudia black, she’s the most amazing actress out there. Seeing her in so many diverse roles and KNOWING she can pull them off…it’s great. Her appearance on the Dresden files was quite humorous and i enjoyed it. And on Stargate, She and Ben brought life back to the show when it was about to die. Farscape is my favorite TV show, and she was the one who brought me into it. I’ll stand by it: She is AMAZING. I hope to see her in more roles in the future

Claudia is very talented and a joy to watch. I followed her from Farscape, was excited when she guest starred on SG-1 and then became a cast member, and talk of her guest stint on Dresden is what prompted me to start watching the show. I hope to see more from her soon.

I adore Claudia Black and think her acting is phenomenal!
I loved her in Farscape (where the chemistry between her and Ben Browder practically melted my TV screen). I try to catch any and all of her new projects.

Claudia Black rocks!! I love the way she can add spice to the scene. She is very expressive and her character is convincing. I became a fan of hers.
