First Issue of “Intrepid” Coming Soon

February 21, 2007 By S. K. Sloan Leave a Comment

Crucial Crisis Comix and Atlantis Studios are pleased to announce the completion of the first issue of “Intrepid,” written by Jose Loeri with pencils and Inks by Mats Engesten, and colors by Veronica Rosado.

Commander Joseph Paxton and the agents of Guardian’s Bravo Squad were fearless defenders of their homeland against all superhuman threats. They were the heroes of their age. One year ago, they were all killed in a tragic plane crash. Or so it seemed.

Joseph Paxton’s surprising return will signal the fall of the “Age of Guardians” and the beginning of the “Second Heroic Age.”

Creator Jose Loeri describes the main character as “someone who inspired confidence though his competence as a tactician, as opposed to a ‘rah-rah’ guy… Paxton’s true strength is in his ability to figure a way out of tough situations in the heat of combat. That ability will be put to the test in the coming issues of ‘Intrepid’.”

Crucial Crisis Comix and Atlantis Studios are supporting “Intrepid” with an appearance at the New York ComicCon February 23-25, 2007 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. “Intrepid” #1 will be on display and issues #2 & #3 are already in production. Look for more information at the Atlantis Studios booth #960.

Preview artwork to accompany this release can be found at Crucial Crisis Comix and Comic Space.

About Crucial Crisis Comix
Crucial Crisis Comix is an independant comic book publisher, based out of the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. Crucial Crisis Comix has been up and operational since 1997, however, it has been through many different forms and even many different names since then. Back in 1997, the Founder and President, David Welcher, gathered a group of hopefuls together and began meeting after school in the student library every Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Thus, officially giving birth to Death 7 Productions. Needless to say a lot has changed since then.

Through the years, many people became part of the CCC family, but none have made such a profound and lasting impact as Jose Loeri. Jose joined our little group in 2001, and since then, a plethora of stories, characters and ideas have been spewing forth from him ever since. And to prove that point, Jose’s flagship title and first love, (“Intrepid”) has managed to also become ours. With each revision, each rewrite…our story…the story of the CCC Universe has become, bigger, more grandiose and more daring than any comic company has ever dared.
