ASC nominates five for top honors
The American Society of Cinematographers has nominated Emmanuel Lubezki for “Children of Men,” Dick Pope for “the Illusionist,” Robert Richardson for “The Good Shepherd,” Dean Semler for “Apocalypto” and Vilmos Zsigmond for “The Black Dahlia.”
The winner will be announced during the organization’s awards ceremonies on February 18th at the Century Plaza Hotel.
It’s the eighth ASC nomination for Richardson, the third for Zsigmond, the second for Lubezki and Semler, and the first for Pope. Zsigmond won in 1993 for the telepic “Stalin.”
